Panel: Smooth

Smoothing is achieved by averaging each pixel and its neighbors. Here you can define how many pixels are used for the calculation. A higher value leads to a smoother result. For example the calculation with a radius of one considers the eight direct neighbors while a value of two works with 24 neighbors.

The calculation is performed with Gaussian distribution curve.
