Utilize the Fuzzy operation to create organic textures like grass and fur. It works by replicating either the lightest or the darkest pixels to lines around them.

Where the fuzz grows to and its length can be controlled with the Direction vector.

Increasing the Turbulence value causes the fuzz to variate in direction. Setting the parameter to 255 lets them grow in all directions.

Whether the lightest (Image 2) or the darkest (Image 3) elements grow is controlled with the Brightness Mode.
