The Crop tool is used to extract parts of a texture. The extracted parts are copied to a new texture.

Use the Mask Mode to control the extraction shape. For example in Image 1, the mode Rectangle was used. Spot created Image 2, and Image 3 was rendered by using Color Delta.

It is recommended to disable Antialiasing and set Edge Size and Smoothing to 0.

Textures are always rectangular, but the extracted shape can be of arbitrary form (e.g. made with the spot tool). The Secondary Color defines the color that replaces the parts, that were not extracted from the source (white in the example images).

Tip: Use the Crop function to extract little material samples from photos. The Resampler module can employ these samples to render larger, seamless textures.
